Ioannis margaritis

He is the Governor of Naxos for almost four years. Ioannis Margaritis, also the Deputy Regional Governor of Aegean Shipping & Telecommunication, was born and raised on this heaven on earth.

Climbing on the Naxian Mountains you can feel the power of their volumes, offering their flesh to marble and smirigli. The olive groves, the endless potato crops, the hillsides where in the little soil they contain, grow delicious vegetables and grape varieties as a payback to the work of the tired farmers. The Castle at Hora, where walking through its narrow streets it feels like you time travelled. The villages, big or smaller, with different features providing extraordinary charm, the monuments of different historical periods really enchant you. The many churches, the small churches and the numerous worships are samples of deep faith and modesty.

As a Governor all the bureaucratic procedures are usually a big burden on your desire to create, either personally or as a government agency. Fortunately, there are no important difficulties in my previous office. This is due to the excellent collaboration with all the Regional Services and other government agencies”.
